  1. The blood products are strictly of porcine origin.
  2. The blood products originate from animals that have been slaughtered in slaughterhouses that are approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
  3. The blood products have been derived from animals which passed ante mortem and were presented for post mortem inspection by the CFIA.
  4. The blood products were processed in an establishment operating under permit issued by CFIA.
  5. The blood products have been processed, stored, packaged and transported in such a manner as to prevent cross-contamination with animal products from other species.
  6. The blood products are approved for use in animal feeds in Canada.
  7. The blood products have been tested negative for Salmonella in 25 g.
  8. During the spray drying process the blood products are subjected to a minimum of 80 °C throughout substance.
  9. Canada is free of Foot and mouth disease, Vesicular stomatitis, Swine vesicular disease, Rinderpest, Enterovirus encephalomyelitis (Teschen disease), African swine fever, Classical swine fever, Brucellosis, Tuberculosis and Pseudorabies.
  10. Anthrax is not prevalent in Canada.
